Disneyland Parade
Disneyland has seen plenty of parades, but none like the one they'll be having this summer. The Cup is going to Anaheim after the Ducks took down Ottawa in five games. Congratulations to Patrick Gill, who despite Ottawa's loss, took over first place on the final day. David Loop jumped into second with Anaheim's win while Keith Chappell hung on to a tie for third with Gerald Wexler. Thanks to all for playing and see you again next year!

Patrick Gill uses Sens power to win despite loss 7/6/2007 12:28:37 AM
Patrick Gill, after a long climb, used two Daniel Alfredsson goals in the second period of Ottawa's loss to climb into first place in the pool. Gill likely used his winnings ($792) to finance a round of drinks at his Sens-friendly pub where most were crying in their beer. David Loop took advantage of the bonus points for picking Anaheim to jump cleanly into second place ($396). Congratulations!

Chappell falls on last day 7/6/2007 12:23:31 AM
Keith Chappell, the leader from one week into the pool until the last night, lost grip of his slim lead to fall into a tie for third with Gerald Wexler, who was in the top three since round two. Chappell had a consistently small lead throughout the pool but still demonstrated tremendous staying power. They will split the third place prize, taking home $66 each.

Anaheim wins in decisive fashion 7/6/2007 12:18:33 AM
Anaheim took advantage of deflections, tip-ins, and luck to cruise to a 6-2 victory in the Cup-winning game. Andy McDonald picked up two points for Anaheim while Daniel Alfredsson scored both Ottawa goals.

Lead narrows... photo finish coming 4/6/2007 10:48:13 PM
We may be in for a photo finish in Lord Stanley's Pool 2007. Patrick Gill has narrowed the Keith Chappell's lead to one point and with extra players could very well tie or surpass him. The big question will be whether David Loop, the leading Anaheim contender, can get a few points from Teemu Selanne to tip the balance if the Ducks win.

Ottawa on the ropes 4/6/2007 10:39:02 PM
Ottawa played only one good period on Monday, and they return to Anaheim down three games to one as a result. The Sens need three straight games of three good periods if the want to win, otherwise Disneyland could be planning a parade.

McDonald scores two, Anaheim wins 6/4/2007 10:35:40 PM
Daniel Alfredsson and Dany Heatley scored for Ottawa, but Andy McDonald was the hero for Anaheim with two goals and an assist. McDonald's three-point night lifted Sophie Wexler into seventh place, the top among twelve picks who took the player.

Pronger suspended again 3/6/2007 8:49:05 PM
Chris Pronger will miss his second straight game four after elbowing Dean McAmmond in the head on Saturday night. Anaheim won the game he missed and had not lost since then until last night's game, but it is nevertheless a big blow to the Ducks' defensive wall.

Ottawa grinds out win at home 3/6/2007 1:21:08 AM
All four lines scored for Ottawa as the Senators won game three 5-3. Anaheim's Chris Pronger scored Ottawa's winning goal and delivered a head shot that could land him in the discipline office for the second time. Ryan Getzlaf scored two points to move into fourth place in playoff scoring; only Mike De Petrillo took him.

Contender takes bite out of lead 5/30/2007 10:14:17 PM
Jean-Sebastien Giguere's shutout has boosted Patrick Gill into the money, just three points behind the leaders with two extra players to collect from. The question would remain, however, if he would celebrate a pool victory if his beloved Sens fail to win the series.

Anaheim smothers Ottawa for shutout 5/30/2007 10:01:41 PM
Anaheim played suffocating defense and clogged the neutral zone to limit Ottawa to 16 shots. Sami Pahlsson - not picked by anyone - got his 11th point of the playoffs with a screen shot goal to give the Ducks the win. Jean-Sebastien Giguere got his first shutout, and the seven poolies who took him were the only ones to get points tonight.

Leader in a sharing mood 5/28/2007 11:06:48 PM
Pool leader Keith Chappell has maintained a slim lead over second throughout the contest, with few interruptions, but for now he is tied as Gerald Wexler has finally closed the gap on him. Wexler should do fine during the round but will suffer in the end by not having the correct Cup team.

Ducks take advantage of rusty Sens 5/28/2007 10:56:01 PM
Ottawa got two big goals for two leads, but the Ducks wore them down as the game wore on to earn the victory. Ray Emery kept his team in the game long after they had any right to be, as the rust factor set in on the skaters.
