tkachuk was long over due pal.... Here's a little history...
Drafted 19th overall at the 1990 NHL Entry draft by the Winnipeg Jets, Tkachuk spent his first 10 years with the franchise, wearing the captain's "C" from 1993-2000. In '96-97, he became the first American-born player to lead the NHL in goals, collecting 52 with the Phoenix Coyotes. He also scored more than 50 goals the previous season, contributing 50 goals and 34 assists during the Winnipeg Jets' final season before relocating to Phoenix. One of the top power forwards in the NHL, Tkachuk's been an All-Star selection in 1997, '98 and '99. In 2001, he was traded to the St. Louis Blues for three players and a first-round draft choice. In 2001-02 he contributed 38 goals and 37 assists in his second year with the Blues. Tkachuk has also represented the United States in the 1992, 1998 and 2002 Olympics.
