John Druce had his 17-point playoff in 1990 after a miserable 11-point season. He followed that up with his only decent year, 58 points, in 1991 and then crapped out.
St. Louis already had two decent seasons before this one, and scored 70 points this year. This is just an extension of a good season. Besides, he plays with plenty more fire then Druce ever knew.
Now Jamie Langenbrunner, maybe there you have your candidate.
